Paulette Snijders Paulette Snijders is a passionated artist from the Netherlands. Her paintings and sculptors are created in her workshop  situated in a ca. 200 years old striking square farm “de Aalbekerhoeve” at Aalbeek. There you will find her creations in a gallery full of atmosphere and in a beautifull and romantically sculpture garden. Paulette’s most important incentive regarding her art is: emotion! Love, anger, restlessness, aggression and warmth are portrayed in striking passages of the abstract and figurative. The recurring elements are a love of nature, humanity and the longing for aesthetic beauty. Sometimes I regret that I am so deeply involved with painting. it gives me the feeling that I reject other forms of art. Of course that is not quite the case, but when I begin working with wax I feel relieved and free. The making of sculptures are a relieve, a flight from the occasionally suffocating constraint of a still virgin canvas. Out of a chaos my creations are coming into existence
